This original hand-carved woodcut was inspired by the feeling of discovering that even a small local library can open a world of possibilities. Through access to books, stories, and ideas, a library becomes much larger than its physical space — a place where knowledge travels freely and imagination expands beyond geographical boundaries.
The artwork depicts the historic library interior of Trinity College Library in Dublin, one of the world's most iconic libraries. The monumental architecture, endless shelves, and rhythm of repeated forms create a sense of timelessness and wonder.
Through the simplicity of black and white woodcut, the print focuses on structure, light, and atmosphere. The carved lines emphasise the relationship between architecture and human experience — the feeling of standing inside a space shaped by centuries of learning and curiosity.
